The three-phase AWD3 energy meters are equipped with a transformer connection. By using a current transformer, you can replace defective energy meters and current transformers when the system is running – and thus avoid having to switch off entire machines at great cost in order to install meters. Connect the energy meters to the Saia PCD family of devices via an integrated S-Bus, M-Bus or Modbus interface in order to read relevant data such as energy, current, voltage and power (active and reactive). Depending on the interface type, the energy meters are available in a one-way or two-way (bidirectional) design.
